Terry LeBlanc, FCPA, FCGA, the outgoing Chair of the CPA Canada Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointments of Amanda Whitewood, FCPA, FCMA, as the new Chair of the Board.
Amanda Whitewood has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the healthcare, government and post-secondary education sectors. She joined the CPA Canada Board in 2017 as Vice-Chair and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the IWK Health Centre. The IWK is an internationally recognized academic health sciences centre, caring for women, children, youth and families across Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. It also provides sub-specialty care to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador. Previously, she was the Vice President, Sustainability and CFO for Capital Health in Halifax. An active volunteer, Ms. Whitewood has held numerous board appointments, including most recently as Director, Immigration Services Association of Nova Scotia and Joule Inc., a subsidiary of the Canadian Medical Association.
