Mr. Farouk Ahamed, Board Chair of Gore Mutual Insurance Company, is pleased to announce that Ms. Anne-Marie Vanier has been elected to the Board.
Ms. Vanier has over 30 years of experience as an actuary and executive in the insurance industry and has served on a number of industry committees.
She served as Executive Director and Chief Actuary of Aviva Canada. She also served as the Chief Property and Casualty Actuary and subsequently as Vice President and Appointed Actuary of RBC Group Risk Management Insurance.
Ms. Vanier is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Casualty Actuarial Society. She received a Chartered Director designation from the Directors College, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from Laval University.
Mr. Ahamed said that, “Anne-Marie is highly qualified and her proven track record as an actuary and insurance executive will be a valued addition to our Board. She is well known and respected within the actuarial professional community and the insurance industry.
