Barun Mohanty, Board of Directors, Plan International Canadasupplied

As a leader in the advancement of children’s rights and equality for girls, Plan International Canada is pleased to announce that Barun Mohanty – former Managing Director International, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation – has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Barun joins the Board with extensive non-profit experience, coupled with a dynamic skillset from his time as a Partner at McKinsey & Company.

At the Dell Foundation, he set up and ran offices in India and South Africa, and led part of the U.S. education portfolio. He delivered scalable, sustainable and measurably improved outcomes for underprivileged children and youth through outcomes-driven partnerships, impact investing, and large-scale change programs.

At McKinsey, Barun served a variety of clients in Canada, England, the Netherlands, Portugal and India.

Barun’s diverse experience and knowledge will support Plan International Canada in leveraging global citizenship to help unleash human potential and end inequality for children around the world, especially girls.
