Carolyn Rogers, to the Board of Directors, Toronto CentreSupplied

Stefan Ingves, Governor of the Central Bank of Sweden and Chair of the Board of Directors of Toronto Centre for Global Leadership in Financial Supervision, and Babak Abbaszadeh, CEO, are pleased to announce the board appointment of Carolyn Rogers.

Ms. Rogers was appointed Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada in December 2021 for a seven-year term. Previously, she served as Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and as Assistant Superintendent, Regulation Sector at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

Ms. Rogers is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brandon University and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University.

Established in 1998, Toronto Centre is an independent, non-profit organization that strengthens the capacity of financial supervisors and regulators, primarily in emerging markets and developing countries, to promote financial stability and financial inclusion. Toronto Centre receives institutional support from Global Affairs Canada, Swedish Sida, and IMF. Since its inception, the Centre has trained more than 17,000 financial supervisors and regulators worldwide.
