The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada welcomes Susan D. Moffatt-Bruce, MD, PhD, MBA, FACS, FRCSC, as its new Chief Executive Officer effective January, 6, 2020.
Dr. Moffatt-Bruce is a world-class leader and surgeon, with sharp business acumen and a passion for value-based care. She holds degrees from McGill University, Dalhousie University, University of Cambridge, Stanford University and The Ohio State University. An academic thoracic surgeon and a funded research scientist, she has held leadership positions in numerous national and international associations. Her new role marks her return to Canada after more than a decade in the United States working as a clinician, researcher, and health system executive.
