HOOPP is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerry Rocchi as Board Vice-Chair.
Mr. Rocchi was CEO of Barclays Global Investors Canada (now Blackrock Canada) from 1997 to 2005, where he led the institutional asset management business and founded the iShares Canada business. He founded the Greening Canada Fund, a carbon offset credit fund for Canadian corporations. He was Chair of the Investment Industry Regulatory Association of Canada. He has served as a Board member, investment committee member and consultant in various roles in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.
HOOPP serves Ontario’s hospital and community-based healthcare sector and has more than 400,000 members. It operates as a private independent trust and is governed by a Board of Trustees with a sole fiduciary duty to deliver on the pension promise.
