James (Jim) Bertram, To The Board of Directors, Emera Inc.
Jackie Sheppard, Chair of Emera Inc. (TSX: EMA), welcomes a new member to the Board of Directors, effective July 10, 2018.
James (Jim) Bertram is Chair of the Board of Keyera Corporation (TSX: KEY), a publicly-traded, midstream oil and gas operator based in Calgary, Alberta.
He is also the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Keyera, a position he held from 1998 until 2014. During this time, he led the company in significant growth and major acquisitions, while enabling consistent delivery of value to customers and shareholders.
Previously, Mr. Bertram was Vice-President of Marketing for Gulf Canada Ltd. and Vice-President of Marketing for Amerada Hess Canada Ltd.
Mr. Bertram is a proven company builder with deep knowledge of the North American oil and gas sector and global energy markets. This, combined with extensive experience leading public corporations, make Mr. Bertram a valuable addition to the Emera Board.
