Jennifer Dibblee, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, BDCSUPPLIED

BDC, the bank for Canadian entrepreneurs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Dibblee as its new Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary.

A lawyer by training, she has more than 25 years of experience in the legal field.

Before joining BDC, Ms. Dibblee was Vice-President, Legal Services and Corporate Secretary at iA Financial Group, one of Canada’s leading insurance and wealth management companies.

In this role, she unified the legal team across Canada and the United States with a view to build an efficient, integrated and mobilized department operating in a decentralized work environment. Also, working closely with the Board of Directors, she renewed the corporate governance framework as well as the mandate of the corporate secretariat, its approach and its role.

After starting her career in private practice, she joined the iA Financial Group where she held increasing responsibilities across all business lines and expanded her expertise in corporate law, corporate governance, securities, as well as M&As.

A native of Halifax, Ms. Dibblee holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from Université Laval, a Bachelor in Common Law from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University. She is a member of the Barreau du Québec.
