John Monahan

Mount Pleasant Group, one of Canada’s leading death care providers, is pleased to announce the arrival of John Monahan as President and CEO. John practiced law with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP followed by roles with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. He joined The Mosaic Institute as its inaugural Executive Director and, most recently, was Warden of Hart House at the University of Toronto. John is a lifelong volunteer, supporting numerous issues, including newcomer settlement, cancer care, performing arts and human rights. John’s experience positions him well to guide the future path of the Mount Pleasant Group and reinforce our nearly two-century old commitment to serving individuals and communities with a wide diversity of backgrounds and lived experiences.
