Louis Roquet, Chancellor and Chairman of the Board, Université de Montréal
Université de Montréal welcomes its new chancellor and chairman of the board, Louis Roquet.
Vice-chairman since 2017, Louis Roquet has made his mark in both the public and private sectors. He was general manager of the City of Montreal, founding president of Investissement Québec, president and chief executive officer of the Société des alcools du Québec, president and chief operating officer of Desjardins Venture Capital, and chief executive officer of Cevital SPA, the largest private conglomerate in Algeria.
As an alumnus, Roquet is deeply attached to Université de Montréal. He will bring his rich experience to an institution considered the top comprehensive university in the French-speaking world and one of the largest academic research centres in Canada.
