Amgen Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ugur Gunaydin to the position of general manager at Amgen Canada. With 19 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry and an unwavering mission to put patients first, Ugur Gunaydin is a leader who has taken on increasingly senior responsibilities at the company. Ugur recognizes Amgen Canada’s role is not only to provide solutions to serious illness with innovative medicines, but also to fundamentally improve the health ecosystem. He maintains a people-first approach that is driven by his personal mandate to care for staff as he cares for customers and patients. His leadership is characterized by his belief that collaboration and teamwork, combined with a positive attitude, are fundamental to integrated success and creating win-win outcomes. Immediately preceding this role, Ugur led Amgen Russia and the other Commonwealth of Independent States countries as general manager, having served in strategic planning & operations for Turkey, Middle East & Africa as well as commercial director for Amgen Turkey. Before joining Amgen, Ugur held roles in finance in Turkey and in the USA. He holds a Master in Economics from the Bosphorus University in Istanbul.
