Pathways to Education Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Vincent Mercier as Chair of the organization’s Board of Directors. Mr. Mercier succeeds Founding Board Chair, Samuel L. Duboc, who served fi ve consecutive terms as Chair of Pathways Canada’s Board of Directors. “It has been an honour working with Sam during his time as Chair,” says Pathways Canada’s President and CEO, Sue Gillespie. “Under his guidance, the Pathways Program expanded from just one location in Toronto to 20 locations across the country. His invaluable contributions have had a significant impact on youth and communities in Canada, and we are extremely grateful for his longstanding commitment and leadership over the last 15 years.”
New Board Chair, Mr. Mercier, brings extensive senior leadership and volunteer experience in both the private and charitable sectors. He is currently a Partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, and sits on the President’s Council of St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

Pathways to Education is a charitable social innovation supporting youth in low-income communities to graduate from high school and build the foundation for a successful future. The award-winning Pathways Program has a proven track record of improving high school graduation rates by an average of up to 85 per cent.
