Marc Dalpé is a student of the markets who is devoted to continuous learning. He is also a master of relationship building. This combination has been the key to his long and esteemed career. His love of the industry and passion for teaching have been other distinguishing characteristics.

In 1999, Marc was the national winner of the Investment Dealers Association Award of Distinction. This celebrated “outstanding investment advisors who exemplify the highest standards of dedication and professionalism in the securities industry”. Twenty-three years later, his Canada’s Top Wealth Advisor nomination is testament that he continues to be recognized for his ideals, ethics and service excellence.

Marc has built and nurtured a team of professionals who share his vision and commitment to providing an extraordinary client experience. This has helped him create a uniquely scalable and substantial business. His clients benefit from a range of talented associates, wealth planning expertise and market opportunities.

In 1981, Marc began his career as an investment banker. He was attracted to the independence and entrepreneurialism of the investment advisor role, giving him the freedom to create and grow his own business. So Marc pivoted, which satisfied his need to help people, contribute to their well-being and educate them on important financial matters. This is an area where he continues to devote much of his time. For example, Marc has issued a daily email since 1993 – almost 7,500 client communications over 29 years, and counting.

Marc has been a visionary in the industry. In the early 1990s, well before it was common, he was developing financial plans, offering discretionary fee-based portfolio management and active bond management, and recommending international investing and ETF investments. His perspective earned him a seat on the Richardson Wealth board of directors, where he represented the interests of Richardson Wealth’s (wholly owned by RF Capital Group) advisors. Since October 2020, he has been on the board of RF Capital Group.

Marc obtained a Bachelor of Finance from HEC Montreal. During his academic years, he was awarded a medal of excellence for academic achievement from the Financial Executive Institute. He has been honoured with awards from the Montreal Chamber of Commerce and HEC Montreal for his leadership, innovation and decision-making qualities. His views are solicited regularly from radio, television and newspaper journalists.
