Nicolas Schulman leads the Schulman Group at National Bank Financial. He works closely with a team of dedicated experts, including tax lawyers, accountants, commercial and private bankers, financial security advisors and mortgage specialists.

Nicolas has been in the financial industry for 20 years, and is an expert in tax structures for health care professionals and entrepreneurs. After graduating in Economics from Concordia University, he started his career in National Bank branches as a private banker and financial planner. His interest in the equity markets and wealth management brought him to change direction and pursue his path within National Bank Financial, leading him to obtain the CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) designation.

Over the years, Nicolas has developed a personalized approach, tailored to meet his clients’ specific needs in investments, portfolio management, estate planning and insurance coverage.

He enjoys undisputed credibility in the industry, and frequently contributes to various economic articles. His expertise has been recognized on several occasions, notably as NBF National Investment Advisor of the Year (2019); Regional Investment Advisor of the Year (2018 and 2020); Best Asset Growth within NBF (2010, 2011 and 2020); and Personal Private Banker of the Year at National Bank (2008).

In the community, Nicolas serves on the board of the Emergo Foundation, aiming to ensure the sustainability of Emergo Respite, an organization providing respite to parents of autistic children. He is also actively involved in the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, through the organizing committee of the Sainte-Justine Ball. To date, the Schulman Group has raised over $100,000 for the event.

Nicolas shares his life with Corinne, and together they’re raising their beautiful three-year-old. He enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, snowboarding and surfing.
