Bryan Baker heads The Baker Financial Group at CIBC Wood Gundy. He specializes in wealth management for affluent individuals, institutions and charitable foundations, and is a proven leader in delivering exemplary client service. Bryan helps to ensure each client’s investment plan is geared towards their risk tolerance level, investment goals and cash flow requirements. He and his team manage over $1.25 billion in assets.

He has extensive experience in many of the significant cycles in the financial markets - recessions, market bubbles, melt-ups and meltdowns. Through his experience, Bryan has developed a skillful and professional approach to investment decision-making and financial planning for his investor client base.

As a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor, Bryan has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was appointed Branch Manager, CIBC Wood Gundy in 1988. He is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University; he holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation, and has attained level II of the Insurance and Planning License.

The Baker Financial Group is comprised of five team members who work collaboratively to provide clients with a family office experience. Jonathan Baker is a partner and Portfolio Manager with 16 years of industry experience and has obtained his Juris Doctor in law. Lisa Barton is an Associate Investment Advisor, bringing 32 years of experience. Lindsey Bentham has over five years of industry experience, has her Bachelor of Commerce from UNBC and is also a level 2 CFA candidate. Christian Mitri has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and is industry-licensed.

Bryan and his team are dedicated to making a difference in the community. He previously sat on the board of Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation, to support research and treatment for children’s mental health. Bryan and his team make sizeable donations to many children-oriented charities such as MLSE launchpad, Covenant House, Point in Time and CIBC Miracle Day.
