Neil Pope is a portfolio manager and heads The Pope Team at CIBC Wood Gundy. His team is made up of seven experienced investment professionals, all striving to provide the best in estate, tax and financial planning.

Neil has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from McGill University with a specialization in Finance. Prior to obtaining his MBA, he attained a BA (with distinction) at Concordia University with a major in Political Science and Economics.

Neil has obtained his Chartered Investment Manager designation (CIM), which qualifies him to provide discretionary portfolio management. Neil is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. He has been with CIBC Wood Gundy and its predecessor firms since 1986, and served as a branch manager for 16 years. Previously, he spent four years with a major Canadian bank working in commercial lending.

After many years of coaching baseball, and helping coordinate South Delta’s Operation Red Nose program, Neil is now the co-chair of Delta’s HUB Cycling Committee. They work with various government entities to promote safe cycling while also providing youth safe cycling clinics.
