Rob Tétrault is an award-winning portfolio manager and head of the Tetrault Wealth Advisory Group at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. After graduating from University of Toronto Law School, Rob worked as an insurance litigation specialist at MLT Aikins in Winnipeg. He then completed a Finance MBA and was a member of the Dean’s list at the Asper School of Business, before starting his wealth management practice in 2010.
As senior vice-president and branch manager, Rob oversees a team of a dozen highly dedicated professionals. He has redefined the practice of financial advising and portfolio management through his transparency, honesty and dedication. Rob has managed to build a remarkably successful practice where his clients’ interests come first.
In addition to having a contemporary view of asset allocation and risk-adjusted returns, Rob is an ardent believer in all aspects of holistic planning. He is also one of the leading Canadian financial media personalities, as a regular contributor on BNN, a daily financial expert on Global News, and host of a YouTube channel with over half a million views.
Rob received the Visionary Award from Radio-Canada, was named to the list of 100 most fascinating Manitobans, was given the St. Boniface Chamber of Commerce Distinction Award, and was named to the Top 40 under 40 for the IAAC. Four times in the past five years, Rob has been on Wealth Professional’s list of Top 50 Financial Advisors in Canada, reaching, #2 in 2018 and 2021. His team won a silver medal in 2020 for Advisory Team of the Year, and in 2021 he was awarded 5-Star Financial Advisor Status.
Rob co-founded the Canadian CMV Foundation, a charity on a mission to eradicate congenital CMV, the number one cause of infant disability. He also created Le Classique, Western Canada’s largest outdoor winter 3-on-3 ball hockey festival, and continuously raises money for local causes that are near and dear to his heart.
Rob is a dedicated husband and father, and resides in St-Boniface, the French quarter of Winnipeg, with his wife, Michelle, and four children.
