Shawn Jerusalim is a Portfolio Manager with CIBC Wood Gundy, heading the Jerusalim Financial Group. He works closely with his clients to understand their financial and personal goals, risk tolerance and preferences – all to create customized financial plans and investment strategies. To Shawn, ensuring ongoing communication, building trust, and providing portfolio reviews as markets fluctuate are key. These form the foundation for lasting client relationships.

Shawn and his team bring clients together with industry leading experts, fund managers and economists at annual events. That enables them to connect and share industry trends. He’s passionate about making his clients’ ambitions real.

Shawn has a wealth of experience in both financial planning and accounting, the past 15-plus years as a member of CIBC Wood Gundy with his practice. Prior to joining CIBC Wood Gundy, he spent five years working in a public accounting firm specializing in small business and real estate.

He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA Colorado) designations. These designations have allowed Shawn to design successful investment strategies that take into account tax implications.

Shawn has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Economics from the University of Western Ontario, and a Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.

He and his wife, Jessica, love to travel and spend much of their free time with their three children in the hockey rink and on the soccer fields.
