In partnership with Deloitte, Report on Business magazine is celebrating the country’s business community with the Canada’s Best Managed Companies awards
This leading business awards program recognizes excellence in private Canadian-owned companies and celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit, determination and innovation of that community.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies list will appear online on May 14, 2024 and in print in the June 2024 issue of the magazine.
The application deadline for 2024 is Sept. 29, 2023.

What is Canada’s Best Managed Companies?
Since 1993, the Best Managed Companies list, presented by Deloitte, has recognized excellence among private Canadian-owned enterprises.
Each year, the program celebrates new winners as well as return companies that have requalified for the list.
There are currently 452 Best Managed Companies in Canada.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Best Managed program, companies must:
- Be headquartered in Canada
- Have revenue of $50 million or more
- Be privately owned, including private-equity portfolio companies, Canadian-owned co-operatives or those that are foreign-owned with Canadian-based headquarters; private companies where the management team resides in Canada; or closely held Canadian-owned public companies with fewer than 50% of shares or units traded
Who conducts the research?
The award program, including the application process, is managed by Deloitte. The Globe and Mail is a media sponsor of the program.
When will winners be announced?
Winners will be announced online on May 14, 2024 and in print in the June 2024 issue of Report on Business magazine.
