Companies are struggling to keep up with data privacy concerns in the wake of Canada’s new data-breach notification regulations, which came into force on November 1. There were at least 33 media-reported breaches in Canada in 2017, and most experts believe the unreported breaches far exceed those disclosed. It helps that privacy laws are converging worldwide. Yet complying with the maze of global privacy laws is like shooting at a moving target.
On the Deal Q&A: Under the Big Top
The stage was set for a stellar performance as lawyers for shopping centre owner and developer Ivanhoé Cambridge and Cirque du Soleil negotiated their first agreement for a new retail concept: CREACTIVE family entertainment centre at Vaughan Mills mall in suburban Toronto.
