Male victim dead in west-end Toronto shooting; no suspect information released

Toronto police say a man was killed in a shooting in the city’s west end Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the area of Islington Avenue and Milady Road at around 11 a.m.

They found a man with a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, and he was pronounced dead a “short while after.”

Police say a number of shell casings were found in the nearby area of Islington and Duncanwoods Drive, where it’s believed the shooting occurred.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

No suspect information has been released.
