Ontario is reporting 299 COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths from the virus today, though the numbers include historic cases just now being counted.

A spokeswoman for the health minister says 90 cases from last year are being counted today due to a data review by Toronto Public Health.

Nineteen deaths from previous months are also being counted.

The province says 257 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 today and 276 patients were in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness.

Provincial data says 265,231 COVID-19 vaccines were administered since the last daily updated for a total of more than 14.4 million shots.

More than 77 per cent of people have at least one vaccine dose as of Tuesday and 37 per cent are fully vaccinated.
