Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after a man died after his arrest in London.

The Special Investigations Unit says the 34-year-old was arrested Monday on allegations he had failed to comply with conditions of his release.

The SIU says he was held in a cell overnight and told officers on Tuesday he wasn’t feeling well.

The agency says paramedics were called and took the man to hospital, where he died.

It says two investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to the case.

The SIU is asking anyone with information or relevant video footage to come forward.
