Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Jan. 25 that he invited the premiers to a meeting in Ottawa to discuss a new health-care funding deal. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said he wants any deal to protect the public health-care system and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said he wants to prioritize shorter wait times.
