New tech gives the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Brains and Beauty
Over-the-air* updates, a big LED screen and a new digital voice assistant makes this new Ford technologically advanced.
The all-new, all-electric 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a Pony Car for the modern-day consumer. This expansion of the iconic Mustang brand will aim to push the boundaries of what’s possible with electric performance and chart a new path for Ford. Such lofty goals are all well and good, but what about the day-to-day stuff, like entering a destination into the navigation system, finding a charging station when you’re on the go and avoiding traffic jams?
While the Mustang Mach-E’s cutting-edge electric drivetrain grabs the headlines, its technology isn’t just in its electric drivetrain; it’s in the cabin too – and also in the cloud and on your smartphone. The Mustang Mach-E uses new levels of technology intelligence for the Ford brand that helps you feel more confident on the road ahead.
Over-the-air* capability ensures your vehicle is seamlessly and easily kept up-to-date, improving vehicle performance. Inside the Mach-E’s futuristic cabin you’ll find a large, crisp 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen and a driver-focused instrument cluster running SYNC® 4A^, Ford’s smartest SYNC system ever, which brings new levels of intelligence and smart search results to help make navigation, music and connecting your vehicle to your mobile device easy. The new SYNC® 4 system will feature different looks and capabilities depending on the vehicle, screen size and customer needs, and all versions will provide users with the power to perform tasks efficiently and view the information they need at the right time.
SYNC 4A^ also uses available machine learning to automatically learn drivers’ preferences so it can make helpful suggestions at the right time based on previous usage. If you often head to your cottage on Fridays after work, SYNC 4A^ with Connected Built-In Navigation** will suggest the cottage as a destination and let you know what traffic is like along the route. The idea is to help reduce on-screen clutter and distractions, offering up the information and options you want, when you want them. Think of SYNC 4A^ as a digital assistant that uses available machine learning capability to automatically learn your preferences. Thanks to cloud-based processing and internet-connectivity, the voice-activated assistant can understand conversational voice commands and respond to requests like, “OK Ford: Where is the nearest coffee shop?”
The technology that accompanies the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E brings new DNA to the Mustang family. A reinvented classic is here to makes its mark, and the technology that it is equipped with only makes it better. While it all may sound complicated, Ford has focused on using technology to help make day-to-day driving and ownership seamless and easy. That way, you can focus on the more important things, like the thrill of driving the first ever all-electric Mustang.
