Trac Grabber Car Traction Aid

A big bad blizzard just blew through town and you are stuck in a rut. Unfortunately, all you've done is spun the tires enough to melt the snow into a slippery icy hammock. There is no way out. The neighbour already left for work and the tow truck company said call back in June.

We tested the simple but effective Trac-Grabber. It was created in 2010 and has already proven capable of getting almost any vehicle out of snow drifts, sand or mud bogs.

What looks like a black brick with yellow ribbons is actually a hard chunk of ridged rubber that easily straps to the drive wheels. The yellow strap loops through the wheel rims to lock the block into position on the tire. You drive slowly in the direction of least resistance, and the trac-grabber grabs the snow, lifting the wheel to allow the vehicle to get unstuck under its own power.

We tested it on the snowdrift on the lawn and it worked quickly. Tap the snow off and stow it in its sturdy green bag for the next time you or a friend get stuck in the muck, sand or snow.
