And so it begins. As we draw nearer to the end of the year, the new car awards start rolling in - beginning with the Canadian Automotive Jury, which has announced its third annual Best of the Best Award finalists. The not-for-profit organization consists of 10 writers - including Globe Drive contributors Jeremy Cato, Petrina Gentile and Michael Vaughan - who cover the automotive industry in Canada. According to the CAJ, its format is such that the judges "don't exclusively focus on a specific model within a family of vehicles or only "all-new" models and include the reigning 2011 Canadian Automotive Jury Best of the Best Winner, the Ford Fiesta, which is automatically included as a finalist." The winner will be announced in November. The Volkswagen Golf won the group's inaugural award in 2010.
