The 2015 Ford Edge will go on sale early in 2015.
This crossover was first launched in 2006.
The Edge is based on Ford’s global mid-size vehicle platform which is also used on the company’s Fusion sedan.
Three engine options will be available: 2.0-litre, 2.7-litre V6 (Both use Ford’s Ecoboost system) and a 3.5-litre V6.
An available auto start-stop system is available cuts down on fuel consumption in traffic and decreases emissions.
The 2015 models will offer adaptive cruise control and collision warning, which uses radar to detect problems ahead.
An eight-inch LCD touch screen with the MyFord Touch system is available on some models.
The new model is larger than the previous edition, with more legroom and headroom and more cargo space.
This vehicle will be built at Ford’s assembly plant in Oakville, ON.
250 new robots have been added to the plant to “improve build quality and repeatability performance,” said the company in a press release.
