Just what you need: a way to increase the noise level in a minivan Add to ...

Have you ever complained that the noise level in your minivan isn’t enough to wake the dead? No?

Toyota has a solution for the minivan driver who wants to make sure that the rear passengers (and perhaps the surrounding cars on the highway?) can hear them ask if anybody wants a cookie, or to please please please stop poking your brother.

Available on the 2015 Toyota Sienna minivan, the Driver Speak System uses the vehicle’s microphone to “amplify the driver’s voice through the rear speakers so everyone can hear.”

A “Dual-View Blue-Ray rear seat entertainment system" with a 16.4-inch wide dual screen monitor, and two sets of wireless headphones are also available, and may be more effective in creating peace and harmony in a seven- or eight-passenger vehicle.
