Pining for a Pagani Huayra supercar? Is that $1.7-million you're eager to fork over to buy one but can't – because it isn't available in Canada – burning a hole in your pocket?

Well, fret no more. Pfaff Automotive Partners announced Thursday that it has been named the exclusive Canadian importer and dealer of Italian auto maker Pagani.

"We are proud to bring this exotic automotive brand to Canada, with its reputation for leadership in technology and design," said Christopher Pfaff, president and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners, in a news release. "Aligning the Pfaff brand to Pagani is an absolute honour and we are excited to introduce (its) latest supercar, the Huayra, to the Canadian market."

Built in Modena, Italy, the Pagani Huayra super sports car is handmade and lightweight thanks to carbon fibre technology. Powering it is a Mercedes AMG 6.0-litre twin-turbo V-12 engine with a stunning 730 hp.

Pagani Automobili S.p.A. was founded in 1992 by Argentinian Horacio Pagani and is based in Italy. Pfaff's dealership is located in Woodbridge, Ont., north of Toronto.
