It has been 25 years since Black Monday – Oct. 19, 1987 – when the Dow plunged 500 points, its biggest one-day drop at the time, leaving investors stunned. But it certainly wouldn't be the last time the stock market would be hit with turmoil. Here is a look at some of the biggest crashes in history and the events surrounding the plunges.
