announcement

Over the last several months, we've been enhancing the online tools and resources available at Globe Investor.

This evening, we'll bring together the best of Globeinvestor and Globefund into one new GlobeInvestor.com - a one-stop resource for investors. (At first, the changeover was going to happen in in the middle of the night, but it has been moved up to this evening.)

The new investment platform will include a refreshed layout and design, along with enhanced features and tools. This site will also have all your favourite current tools, including Stocklist, Fundlist and Portfolio. They won't change -- only the way you get to them will.

As of this evening, you'll be redirected to the new site at GlobeInvestor.com. It will operate with your existing login requirements, and your current Portfolio will transfer to the new site. Your current Portfolio will not be lost and will work just as it always has. Your current Stocklist and Fundlist on your computer will also work on the new site.

Stocklist, Fundlist and your Portfolio will be easy to find on the new site.

The new Globe Investor will have more content, community features and will be easier to navigate.

The new Globe Investor will have more market analysis, more financial literacy and education for both novice and advanced investors, and more personal finance. Look for Chaya Cooperberg's Home Cents blog on family finances and for columns by Angela Self of the Smart Cookies group.

The new site will feature a vibrant community, with more places to discuss issues and exchange ideas with fellow Globe Investor users, investment experts and award-winning Globe and Mail journalists.

As well, you'll have access to more videos from Globe Investor journalists and BNN. Look for videos such as Rob Carrick's Let's Talk Investing, David Berman's Market View, John Heinzl's Investor Clinic and David Parkinson, Simon Avery and Boyd Erman's Investor Roundtable.

The new site will also offer a deeper and richer stock quote page, allowing you to analyze 10 to 15 years of financial history, check the views of analysts and do comparison charting and basic technical analysis. There will also be a toolbox on the new homepage so that it will be easy to find some of your favourite tools, such as Stock Filter and Fund Filter.

We look forward to hosting you at the new GlobeInvestor.com starting this evening.
