Comment button

Globe Investor has an active, outspoken community of readers who leave insightful commentary on our comment pages.

You can access comment pages by clicking the grey "Comments" tab near the top left of the article page, below the headline and photo.

To leave a comment on a story, you must first be signed in to your globeandmail.com account (new users, register here).

You do not need to subscribe to Globe Unlimited to leave comments. In addition, clicking from an article to its comments page does not count toward the paywall metre, and you can revisit the same comment page as often as you like.

Once you are signed in, you can use the "Post Your Message" box to submit a comment. You can reply to someone's comment by clicking the "Reply" tab in the grey box to the right of each comment. You can also vote for comments using the thumbs up and down icons. Below those icons are tabs that allow you to e-mail a comment a friend, share it on social media sites, or copy the text.

If you think a comment violates our terms and conditions, you can use the "Report Abuse" tab to notify our moderators.

You might like to see only the most recent comments or those with the highest scores. At the top of the comments, there's a drop-down menu that allows you to sort comments by score, activity level or chronological order.

Occasionally, the Globe will close comments or remove comments from stories, usually for legal reasons. To find out why this happens, read our community guidelines.

Please note that comments are currently not available on mobile devices.

If you have additional questions about our comment pages, send them to community@globeandmail.com.
