Monday Dec. 8

Japan releases third-quarter GDP and October current account statistics.

China tentatively scheduled to report November's trade surplus. It's forecast at $44.0-billion.

Germany industrial production for October. It's forecast to rise 0.9 per cent from a year earlier.

(815 a.m. ET) Canada housing stats for November. Consensus is for a 9.2 per cent rise to an annualized rate of 200,500.

(830 a.m. ET) Canadian building permits for October. The Street expects a flat reading from September.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. Federal Reserve Labor Market Conditions Index.

Earnings include: Kirkland Lake Gold; H&R Block; Vail Resorts.

Tuesday Dec. 9

Germany and France release October trade numbers, while the U.K. reveals industrial and manufacturing production.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. releases wholesale inventories for October, forecast to rise 0.1 per cent.

Earnings include: Hudson's Bay Co.; Orvana Minerals; Transcontinental; AutoZone; Burlington Stores; Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Wednesday Dec. 10

China releases inflation for November, forecast to rise 1.6 per cent from a year earlier. It's also scheduled to release new yuan loans and M2 money supply numbers.

Japan releases consumer confidence and producer price index.

France releases industrial and manufacturing production.

(1030 a.m. ET) Bank of Canada financial system review. Bank of Canada Governor Poloz will hold a press conference at 1115 a.m. (ET).

(2 p.m. ET) U.S. budget deficit.

Earnings include: Laurentian Bank; Whistler Blackcomb; Casey's General Stores; Costco Wholesale; Men's Wearhouse; Oxford Industries; Toll Brothers.

Thursday Dec. 11

Japan releases machine orders and Tertiary industry index.

Germany and France release CPI numbers, and Italy industrial production.

(745 a.m. ET) Bank of Canada Poloz speaks at the Economic Club in New York, with a press conference scheduled for 920 a.m. (ET).

(830 a.m. ET) Canada releases third-quarter capacity utilization.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada new housing price index for October, forecast to rise 1.6 per cent from a year earlier.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. initial jobless claims for last week, forecast at 297,000.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. retail sales, forecast to rise 0.3 per cent, or 0.1 per cent when excluding the autos sector.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. business inventories for October. They are forecast to rise 0.2 per cent.

Earnings include: Dominion Diamond; Lululemon Athletica; Lumenpulse; North West Co.; Transat A.T.; Ciena; Nordson.

Friday Dec. 12

China releases industrial production for November, forecast to rise 7.5 per cent from a year earlier. lt is also expected to report on November retail sales and fixed asset investment.

Japan and euro zone release October industrial production numbers. Italy reveals November CPI data.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada new motor vehicle sales for October tentatively scheduled. They are expected to climb 6.9 per cent.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. Producer Price Index. Consensus is for a rise of 1.4 per cent from a year ago.

(955 a..m ET) University of Michigan consumer sentiment. It's forecast at 89.3, up from the last reading in November of 88.8.

Earnings include: Empire Co.; BRP Inc.
