Euro area reports consumer confidence for March.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. existing home sales. Consensus is for a 2.5 per cent rise to an annualized rate of 4.94 million.

Tuesday, March 24
 

Japan and China release manufacturing PMI.

Euro area PMI data. Plus, U.K. reveals February consumer price index and producer price index.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. CPI for February. Consensus is for a decline of 0.1 per cent from a year earlier, or a rise of 1.6 per cent when excluding food and energy.

(9 a.m. ET) FHFA house price index for January. Forecast is for a rise of 5.4 per cent from a year earlier.

(945 a.m. ET) Markit flash manufacturing PMI for March.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. new home sales. Consensus is for a decline of 1.3 per cent from a year earlier to an annualized rate of 475,000.

Germany releases Ifo survey for March.

(10 a.m. ET) University of Michigan final reading on consumer sentiment for March. Forecast is 91.8.

(345 p.m. ET) Fed chair Yellen speaks in San Francisco on monetary policy.

Ottawa tentatively scheduled to release budget balance.
