(8:30 a.m. ET) Canada reports is June consumer price index, estimates for a 1.3 per cent year over year increase; with core CPI at a 1.9 per cent year over year increase; and May retail sales, expected to show a 0.2 per cent decline.

(9:45 a.m. ET) America reports its July Markit manufacturing PMI.
