ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. (ATA-T) reported first-quarter revenues of $264-million, down 1 per cent from $265.4-million a year ago.

Net income was $11.5-million or 12 cents per share versus $12.1-million or 13 cents a year earlier.

Analysts were expecting revenue of $259.4-million and earnings of 11 cents.

Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd. (SOG-T) reported sales of $10.3-million in the second quarter, up from $6-million a year ago.

Its net loss was $7-million or 15 cents per share versus a loss of $5.8-million or 21 cents a year ago.

Maricann Group Inc. (MARI-C) says it has a letter of intent with a national provider that services pharmacies across Canada for a "primary collaborative partnership" to create a pharmacy services program that enables pharmacists to counsel and educate patients about medicinal cannabis.

"The joint initiative will aim to position pharmacies to be the preferred access point for medicinal cannabis based on pharmacists' critical role in working with physicians and patients in understanding the multi-synchronistic opportunities in multi-medication patients," Maricann said."

Canadian Western Trust Company (CWT), a subsidiary of Canadian Western Bank (CWB-T) says it will no longer offer self-directed account services to holders of exempt market securities.

CWT says it has entered into a definitive agreement to appoint Computershare Trust Company of Canada as successor trustee or custodian for clients who currently hold exempt market securities within a CWT self-directed account.

"At CWT, we are working to bring more focus to our organization and concentrate our activities within business lines that have the strongest growth opportunities and that are most aligned with the strategic objectives of CWB Financial Group," said CWT general manager Matt Colpitts,
