Norman Raschkowan, chief investment officer for Mackenzie Investments

As CIO of Mackenzie, Mr. Raschkowan has ultimate responsibility for the company's investment function. He works closely with investment team leaders, business unit leaders and Mackenzie's fund governance board of directors.

Before joining Mackenzie in 2007, he spent 27 years at Standard Life Investments Inc. in Montreal. He began his career in 1980 as a fixed income research analyst and became a bond fund manager in 1981. He became an equity fund manager in 1984 and was promoted to senior vice president, head of Canadian and U.S. equities, in 1990. In 2006, he was appointed as chief investment officer at Standard Life.

Mr. Raschkowan graduated in 1980 from McGill University with a degree in finance and a gold medal in economics. He also earned his MBA in international business and real estate from McGill in 1985, and is a member of the CFA Institute.
