A number of insiders were buying at Western Canada oil-and-gas-focused ARC Resources Ltd. last month. Chief financial officer P. Van Dafoe acquired 6,000 common shares at a price of $17.40. In addition, chief operating officer Terry Anderson bought a total of 12,000 common shares at an average price of $17.75 while two directors bought 13,965 shares between $17.55 and $18.23. ARC averaged 109,900 barrels of oil equivalent a day (65-per-cent natural gas) last quarter and management hopes to boost production in the fourth quarter upon commissioning of a new gas plant.
