Medicago Inc. , a biopharmaceutical company which fell nearly 9 per cent and closer to a year low 49 cents yesterday, reported a consolidated loss for fourth-quarter of $6.65-million or $0.04 per basic and diluted share. This compares to a loss of $4.6-million or $0.04 per basic and diluted share for the three-month period ended Dec. 31, 2010.

Gran Colombia Gold Corp. , which dropped 2.5 per cent and closer to a year low 34 cents on Thursday, reported fourth-quarter gold production of 26,979 ounces, a 24 per cent increase from 21,737 ounces in the third quarter of 2011. It also reported net income of $1.7-million, the first quarterly profit in the company's history.

Freegold Ventures Limited , which fell 2.5 per cent yesterday, reported the results of a NI43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate recently completed on the Vinasale Gold Project located in southwest Alaska. Inferred resources are 49.3 million tonnes averaging 1.09 g/t Au for 1,735,000 ounces of gold utilizing a cutoff value of 0.5 grams/tonne (g/t) as a possible open pit cutoff.

Magellan Aerospace Corporation reported gross profit and net income for the fourth quarter of 2011 of $30.1-million and $16.7-million respectively, a decrease from the fourth quarter of 2010 gross profit of $35.1-million and an increase from the fourth quarter of 2010 net income of $15.4-million.

Porto Energy Corp. announced that it has received an updated independent resource evaluation on each of the five concessions in which the company maintains an interest.

Argonaut Gold Inc. , which was lower by a cent at yesterday's close, today reported its financial results for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, 2011. The company said revenues rose 74 per cent to $34.6-million from $19.9-million in the corresponding period of 2010. Net income jumped 122 per cent to $9.1-million from the previous year's $4.1-million.

DiagnoCure Inc. , a Quebec life sciences company, announced today its financial results for the first quarter 2012 ended Jan. 31, 2012. Total revenues were $556,158 compared with $292,878 for the same period of 2011. Net loss from continuing operations was $816,164 or $0.02 per share compared to a net loss of $998,439 or 0.02$ per share for the same quarter of 2011.

Excellon Resources Inc. , which closed yesterday's session 2 per cent lower, announced today its financial results for 2011. Net income was $4.4-million during the year, erasing last year's $3.9-million net loss. Revenues were also higher at $48-million compared to the previous year's $29.4-million. It had a positive cash flow of $20.3-million.

Nevada Sunrise Gold Corporation , which was lower by 3 per cent yesterday, announced today that drilling has begun on the Golden Arrow Property, Nye County, Nevada. The drill program consists of a minimum of 10,000 feet of reverse-circulation drilling to test targets defined by the Quantec Orion 3D survey completed in the autumn of 2011.

Cyberplex Inc. today reported its fourth-quarter 2011 financial results. Net loss for the quarter was $4.6-million compared to a net income of $1.0-million in the previous quarter. Revenue was $9.9-million, a 40 per cent decline from the $16.6-million recorded in the previous quarter.
