Nevsun Resources Ltd. which almost hit year lows yesterday, announced today strong financial and operational results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company also increased its guidance for 2012 gold production by approximately 25 per cent to a range of 240,000 ounces to 260,000 ounces. Revenues amounted to $149.4-million. Net income attributable to shareholders came in at $41.2-million, or $0.21 per share.

AEterna Zentaris Inc. which hit year lows yesterday, announced its f irst quarter financial results today. Revenues were $9.5-million, compared to $7.4-million for the same quarter in 2011. However, net loss rose to $11.5-million, or $0.11 per share, compared to $10.1-million, or $0.12 per share, for the same quarter in 2011.

Student Transportation Inc. which was slightly down at yesterday's close, announced today its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2012. Revenue rose to $113.3-million from $91-million, and net income increased to $3.0-million or $0.05 per common share from $1.6-million or $0.03 per common share for the third quarter of fiscal 2011.

ProSep Inc. which closed yesterday's session at day lows, announced today its financial results for the three-month period ended March 31, 2012. Revenues were $8.3-million, down 16 per cent from $9.9-million recognized in the corresponding period of 2011. Loss was $1.4-million or $0.0 per share, compared to a loss of $3.0-million or $0.02 per share in the previous year.

Orbite Aluminae Inc. which closed down by 1 per cent yesterday, announced today that it has added another patent to its intellectual property portfolio and has filed 5 new patent applications. The intellectual property portfolio of the company now includes 9 patent families, with 3 patents issued and 21 applications pending in nine countries.

Coalspur Mines Ltd. , which dropped 1.5 per cent and closer to a year low of $1.20 yesterday, announced an initial Coal Resource estimate on the recently acquired Vista Extension, comprising 173.7 million tonnes in the Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource categories and 969.3Mt in the Inferred Mineral Resource category.

Sprott Inc. , which hit a year low $4.08 yesterday, posted first quarter net income of $16.9-million, or $0.10 per share, an increase of 60.4 per cent from $10.6-million, or $0.07 per share in the first quarter of 2011. Total revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2012 increased by 12.3 per cent to $44.4-million, from $39.5-million in 2011.

Whistler Blackcomb Holdings Inc. , which lost 1.5 per cent on Monday, reported net earnings before tax increased by 13 per cent, or $6.4-million in the second quarter over the same period last year. Net earnings per common share was $0.81 compared to $1.02 in the same period last year.

Absolute Software Corp. , which fell nearly 6 per cent and further away from near a year high $6.78 yesterday, said it reached a "favourable" settlement agreement in an anti-theft patent infringement case.

PACEpartners Inc. , which last traded at year lows, announced that it will combine with Vivione BioSciences, LLC.
