The Brick , which yesterday closed slightly lower after hitting a new year high of $3.70 earlier in the day, reported fourth-quarter income before income taxes of $16.9-million, a decrease of $0.4-million or 2.4 per cent over the 2010 fourth-quarter results. Including the impacts from changes in warrant fair value and impairment charge reversal for 2010, 2011 fourth quarter consolidated net income of $13.2-million was lower by $1.0-million or 6.9 per cent when compared to the same quarter of 2010.

Nevsun Resources Ltd. , with an existing year low $3.19, will release its 2011 results on Wednesday March 21 after close of trading with a conference call following on Thursday March 22.



AbitibiBowater Inc., doing business as Resolute Forest Products announced: it has extended the expiry time for its offer to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Fibrek Inc. to 5pm ET on April 2. It has amended the minimum tender condition to its offer by lowering the threshold from 66.66 per cent to 50.01 per cent of Fibrek shares outstanding on a fully diluted basis.

Scorpio Gold Corporation , which was just 9 cents below year highs yesterday, announced today the final results of the 2011 drilling program on the Mary Zone. Peter J. Hawley, President and CEO reports, "The 2011 drilling program has successfully defined the extent of mineralization for the final pit design over the Mary Zone. In addition, drill results have increased the overall width of the zone and confirmed that gold mineralization extends southwest from the Mary Zone to the adjacent Mary LC Zone, encompassing a strike length of 780 metres."





Antioquia Gold Inc. said it plans to use key results from its 2011 exploration program to benefit the next phase of advanced exploration at its flagship Cisneros Project, moving the company forward in 2012. Assuming positive results by the end of 2012, Antioquia hopes to be in a position to decide whether to proceed with a production scenario, with gold production anticipated in 2014.
