Sears Canada Inc. is looking for a new chief financial officer to fill a position coming open early in the new year.

Sharon Driscoll, who has been CFO for the national retailer since December 2010, has announced her resignation, effective Jan. 4, to pursue other interests.

Sears says it has processes in place to allow its finance functions to operate seamlessly while the company conducts a search for a replacement.
