Marvell Technology (NASDAQ:MRVL) Beats Q3 Sales Targets But Quarterly Guidance Underwhelms

Networking chips designer Marvell Technology (NASDAQ: MRVL) announced better-than-expected results in Q3 FY2024, with revenue down 7.7% year on year to $1.42 billion. On the other hand, next quarter's revenue guidance of $1.42 billion was less impressive, coming in 2.7% below analysts' estimates. "Marvell delivered third quarter fiscal 2024 revenue of $1.419 billion, growing 6% sequentially, above the midpoint of guidance. Revenue from our datacenter end market grew over 20% sequentially in the third quarter, and we expect growth of over 30% sequentially in our fourth quarter," said Matt Murphy, Marvell's Chairman and CEO.
