Recharge today announced the company’s project manager has entered into a drill contract for the company’s imminent drilling for its “Pocitos 1” Lithium Brine project in Salta, Argentina. Recharge expects their upcoming drill program to commence on or around October 7th., 2022.

Tesla Inc. CNBC reported that Electric car giant Tesla is evaluating the feasibility of a lithium hydroxide refining facility on the gulf coast of Texas.

Tesla said the plant would be focused on the development of “battery-grade lithium hydroxide” and be “the first of its kind in North America,” according to a newly released letter to the Texas Comptroller’s Office.

With a planned completion and start of production in 2025, the company believes Tennessee Lithium will be the largest lithium hydroxide processing facility constructed in the United States. The project is expected to convert spodumene concentrate sourced principally from Piedmont's international project investments to significantly expand the U.S. supply of lithium hydroxide, a key component in the manufacturing of EV batteries.
