Fairfax India Holdings Corporation: Third Quarter Financial Results

Fairfax India Holdings Corporation (TSX:FIH-U.TO) announces net earnings of $89.2 million in the third quarter of 2019 ($0.58 net earnings per diluted share), compared to net earnings of $94.2 million in the third quarter of 2018 ($0.61 net earnings per diluted share), reflecting decreased net unrealized gains on investments, partially offset by decreased net foreign exchange losses.

Highlights in the third quarter of 2019 included the following:

There were 152.6 million and 154.6 million weighted average common shares outstanding during the third quarters of 2019 and 2018 respectively. At September 30, 2019 there were 122,631,481 subordinate voting shares and 30,000,000 multiple voting shares outstanding.
