Indigo Books & Music Inc is a corporation domiciled and incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario in Canada. The Company is a book, gift and lifestyle, and specialty toy retailer in Canada. The Company operates in all provinces and sells books and book-related products, including newspapers, magazines, audio books, stationery, music CDs, videos, DVDs, educational and entertainment-oriented software, toys and gifts. The online division features books, eBooks, toys, gift and lifestyle products. The Company is the majority shareholder of Kobo, a global eBook retailer. The Company also has a 50% interest in Calendar Club of Canada Limited Partnership, which sells calendars, games, and gifts through seasonal kiosks and year-round stores in shopping malls across Canada. Calendar Club of Canada Limited Partnership currently operates approximately 200 seasonal calendar kiosks and inline game stores each year. As at March 30, 2013, the Company operated 231 stores comprised of 97 superstores and 134 small format stores, and the online channel, indigo.ca. The Company operates its superstores under the names Indigo Books & Music, Indigo Books Gifts Life, Indigo Books Gifts Kids, Chapters, and the World's Biggest Bookstore in all ten provinces of Canada.
