BIEBER BACKTRACKS

The impossible has happened: Justin Bieber has admitted he made a mistake. The Canadian pop star has retracted his earlier claim that he had met the president of Mexico backstage at one of his concerts earlier this week. Turns out The Biebs had met members of Enrique Pena Nieto's family, which he corrected on Twitter. "They were very nice," tweeted Bieber.

SISTER ACT

Reality star Khloe Kardashian is defending her little sister Kendall Jenner for showing her breasts in a photo shoot. Jenner, who turned 18 two weeks ago, caused an online ruckus by posing soaking wet in a tight knit sweater that exposed her nipples. Tweeted Khloe: "High fashion! Model your booty off and show them how it's done. Major Model Moment!"

RINSE AND REPEAT

Believe it: CBS has ordered a spinoff for the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Titled How I Met Your Dad (seriously), the new show will employ most of the HIMYM producers and writers and will focus on a gang of pals in a coffee shop talking about their female friend's search for a husband. You just know Neil Patrick Harris will show up.

BABY TALK

Singer Kelly Clarkson is having a baby. The American Idol fixture announced that she and new husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting their first child, and naturally she told the world via Twitter. Her tweet: "I'm pregnant!! Brandon and I are so excited. Best early Christmas present ever :)"

BLOOD TIES

Get ready for more gruesome TV. The U.S. cable channel FX has ordered a 13-episode season of the vampire drama The Strain. The series will be based on the book trilogy written by Chuck Hogan and director Guillermo del Toro, who will naturally executive-produce the series. Actor Sean Astin is confirmed to star in the series slated to premiere in July, 2014.
