Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have broken their silence following the announcement of their marital split.
And once again, it was Gwyneth doing all the talking.
On Friday morning, Paltrow went on her Goop website (where she announced the marriage ending on Tuesday) to share a rather cryptic message titled "One Bird, Three Meals."
That message being: "Our moms were raised by depression-era ladies who used a single tea bag for two cups of tea and never met a leftover they didn't eat. This issue of three delicious chicken recipes is in honour of our grandmothers, who taught us the good old-fashioned art of not wasting a scrap."
Oh, the grateful part? Paltrow's missive closes with, "P.S. CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many" and the graphic of a tiny heart.
The new post includes an instructive diagram on "Cutting a Chicken into Three Parts" and a recipe for "Flash Roasted Legs."
All of which seems a tad peculiar considering both Paltrow and Martin are supposed to be devoted vegans.
Paltrow and Martin announced this week they would be separating "with hearts full of sadness" following slightly more than a decade of marriage. The couple issued the split announcement while enjoying a family vacation in the Bahamas.
Paltrow and Martin have two children together: daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 7.
Their breakup statement stated, "We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time."
In a May, 2013, interview with Glamour magazine, Paltrow admitted, "It's hard being married. You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We're the same as any couple."
