LEGAL BRIEFS

Supermodel Kate Upton has threatened to take legal action against a website that featured fake nude pictures of her online. Late last week, the website Celeb Jihad posted a doctored photo of Upton that was allegedly taken from her recent Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot under the headline "Kate Upton Naked Outtake from SI Swimsuit 2014." The photos prompted Upton's legal team to immediately send a letter to the website stating their intent to sue unless the photo was taken down. The offending photo was removed forthwith and replaced with a .gif of Upton emerging from a pool in a swimsuit and the caption, "Photos removed by SI's lawyers. Enjoy the Kate Upton GIF above instead."

HEEERE'S JOHNNY!

Is there really a sex tape featuring The Tonight Show host Johnny Carson? According to TMZ's lurid report, the alleged video begins with Carson and a woman (supposedly his third wife Joanna Holland) lounging in the nude by a pool before the footage shifts to the bedroom. Sources told TMZ that the original owner of the tape attempted to sell it to the Carson estate last fall (Carson passed away in 2005). The estate balked at buying the video and threatened to sue the owner should the tape ever fall into the wrong hands, like a porn company. For legal reasons, the tape can only be sold to a private collector.

FAREWELL TO EDNA

The Simpsons aired a touching sendoff to the character of Edna Krabappel, as well as voice originator Marcia Wallace. Sunday night's new episode of the animated series ended with Ned Flanders having a dream that he was dancing with Bart's schoolteacher, with the fantasy ending when Edna threw out her signature laugh. "I sure do miss that laugh," says Flanders, who has a framed picture of Edna sitting next to one of his late wife, Maude. At which point the resident bully Nelson shows up to bray with his own trademark laugh, and to make the comment, "I miss her, too." Wallace passed away last October at age 70 following a long bout with cancer.

TINY BUBBLES

Now it can be told: Bill Murray knows how to drink champagne without getting a hangover. The comic actor shared his bubbly secrets in a recent interview and apparently it all comes down to his chilling technique. "The way I like to drink it is in a big pint glass with ice," said Murray. "I fill it with ice and I pour the champagne in it, because champagne can never be too cold." The science behind his method: "The problem people have with champagne is they drink it and they crash with it, because the sugar content is so high and you get really dehydrated." But with the ice added, "It's like a hydration level and you can stay at this great level for a whole weekend."

SCIENCE CLASS

Craig Ferguson wants to become a science teacher. The Scottish host of CBS's Late, Late Show announced via taped message that he will transform the popular Facebook page titled "I f–ng love science!" into a TV show that will air on the U.S. cable outlet Science Channel later this year. Ferguson will serve as executive producer on the series, which will merge live action and animation to impart basic scientific concepts for viewers. "If you know anything about me, you know I love science," said Ferguson in the video clip shown to attendees at the SXSW conference in Austin, Tex. "Science has a naughty secret – it's that all things are connected. And this show is going to explore the randomness of science." Launched by British blogger Elise Andrew in early 2012, the "I f–ng love science!" Facebook page has so far garnered more than 10-million fans.

FAIR WARNING

Reality star Rob Kardashian has been told to change his lifestyle or give up living. On Sunday night's new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the younger brother of Kim and Khloe finally saw a physician to discuss health problems in connection to his ongoing weight problems. The doctor told Kardashian that his drastically fluctuating weight gains and losses put him at high risk of developing diabetes and eventual organ failure. All of which prompted matriarch Kris Jenner to tell her son: "Your liver is shutting down. This is life-threatening at this point." The revelation came two weeks after Rob admitted to sister Khloe that his most recent weight gain was preventing him from making an impact in the fashion world (he's a sock designer). Said Rob: "I'm trying to be in the fashion industry and I'm not going to taken seriously when I'm 50 pounds overweight."
